I remember "Randy's Record Shop" real well,In fact in the mid Fifties,,I went to bed most every night listening to It,I remember "Gene Nobles,,and Bill Allen ( The Jiving Hoss Man),,I remember Gene Nobles came on around 9 o'clock CST,,seem as The Jiving Hoss Man came on around 8..if im not mistaken the Add. back then to Randy's was " 179 3rd Ave. Gallatin Tenn.
RIP Randy, and thanks for the enjoyable moments i spent listening to " RANDY"S"...............

the first 45 i ever bought myself (89 cents) was "come go with me" by the del vikings...on dot...who doesn't remember randy's record shop as a sponsor on the shows on WLAC?...the AM signal skip was perfect and we were able to listen to WLAC nightly in college station (tx) in the late 50s and early 60s...
...honk if you've never seen an uzi fired out of a car window...

What memories that Randy's Record Shop conjurs up. My brother and I listening to WLAC, The Jivin' Hossman brought to you by Randy's Record Shop. The first great black blues singers were just kids then putting out records that you could send and get from Randy's. 8:05 and Time to Jive!! We would turn on the attic fan, open a window, flop across the bed and turn the volumn up.....we were livin' in high cotton.
