Re: Rains steel guitar ?
I contacted the guy who took over Rains from Gary Carpenter. He had given up and had no parts other than a few return springs…

Hey Guys I make Parts for guitars that are no longer suported by the org. builder. If you can give me some good pictures of the parts you need and measurments I can probably help you out. Please use Email as my PM may or may not work.
Thanks Barry

Re: Rains steel guitar ?
Besides the gentleman's post above, the only suggestion I would have, is to contact Lamb Music, in
Fort Worth. They have a lot of experience on Rains steel guitars and could possibly have some Rains
parts in stock.
Curtis Hogue who worked with Gary Carpenter building the Rains steel guitars, is a Ranch Manager in
the area and simply doesn't have the time to build steels anymore.
I have a Rains sd10 that I just love. They are great steels, and they don't seem to come up for sale very
often. I had Curtis check the serial number on mine and surprisingly, it was built by Gary.
Best of luck on finding parts for your Rains.

Re: Rains steel guitar ?
Thanks for all the replies y'all. I'm not needing any parts right now and didn't know if Rains was still in business. It's been a long time since I been on the forum. I really like my Rains very good guitars . I noticed there were no Rains for sale on the forum, so figured something was wrong. I wrote down Lamb music, and wrote Bary Coker name. Thanks !!
